Killer Klowns From Outer Space (1988)

Score: 8/10

Length: 88

Language: English and Clown-alien

Categories: good-bad, horror-comedy, aliens, monsters, almost horror, 1980s, recommended

On this snowy day, I was in the mood for a fun, fantasy… zoinky even? movie, and I’m always in the mood for a horror flick so this one met my needs. One of the most quotable films ever, but picture Teletubby-like monster clowns whose spaceship is a circus tent filled with pencil-coloured scenery and pastel stage props. Yes, it is as amazing as it sounds. “Well I’ll be greased and fried!” There’s nothing to really not like about this one, but you have to be in the mood for clowns, obviously. It’s not too long, and with a simple storyline of: Clowns from outer space curiously take over the city, punching people’s heads off and turning them into pink blobs of cotton candy! There are so many fantastic things about this (let’s not forget, ridiculous) film that I am so excited to watch this again and again with popcorn, a coke, and a big bag of pink cotton candy.
